Funding Information
Active Children Thrive (ACT) will focus on the establishment and ongoing development of a strategy which aims to improve the health and wellbeing of families and children 0-12 years old in the Acacia Ridge, Inala and Ipswich regions.
ACT will work hand in hand with their existing early intervention programs across the region complementing and adding value in areas where limited resourcing has resulted in significant gaps to supporting children and their families.
The ACT project delivers its activities in a series of action orientated programs named – Hear That! Eat That! and Do That! In addition, a START & STAY Healthy Life Starter Kit was developed to encourage and help families to “Start and Stay” with a healthy lifestyle.
In a region of significant disadvantage and cultural diversity the aim of this project is to ensure and enable an inclusive approach for vulnerable communities to access healthy, educational, fun, and interactive activities.
