Research summary

The overall project aims to determine the contribution of bacteria to Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative disorders. Researchers will use discovery research to identify mechanisms by which bacteria and viruses initiate Alzheimer’s pathologies within the brain and then use translational research to create therapies to prevent or reverse the pathologies.
